Community Mapping

Fall 2024

My first graduate Design class partnered with a local community center, SquashSmarts, to help them allocate grant money to help the community they serve. In our research, we used mapping to better understand the city area where the site is located (PA 19132+19140) and describe community characteristics and needs; I focused specifically on education access and SquashSmarts partner schools. We then used the maps we created to discuss the mental health needs of the relevant population and created a research booklet for client presentations.
